In an Office




Example 1:
Receptionist    : May I help you, Sir?
Recky             : Yes, please. I’m Recky Raharja from NAOVI Advertising. I’d like to see Mr.   Sinclair from the Marketing Department.
Receptionist    : I’m sorry. Mr. Sinclair is in a meeting now.  It will finish an hour from now. Would you like to wait? Or can I take a message?
Recky             : I’ll just wait.
Receptionist    : Have a seat, then.
Recky             : Thank you.

Receptionist    : May I help you, Sir?
Dika                : Yes, please. I’m Dika  from INUK Catering. I’d like to see Mr. John, please.
Receptionist    : I’m sorry. Mr. John is not available today. Can I take a message?
Dika               : Sure.  Please tell him that I want to see him about the catering order for the company meeting next month.
Receptionist    : Ok. Mr. Dika from INUK Catering…wants to meet..about the catering order… for the company meeting.
Dika                : Yes.
Receptionist    :I’ll make sure that he gets the message. Is there anything else?
Dika                : That’s all, thank you.

Example 1:
SHOP ASSISTANT     : Can I help you find something?
DOKI                      : Yes, do you have this shirt in a bigger size?
SHOP ASSISTANT     : What size are you looking for?
DOKI                      : Size 6... But if you have a size 8, I'll try it on as well.
SHOP ASSISTANT     : OK, let me check in the back...
(COMES BACK)  There you go... I found the shirt in a size 8...
DOKI                      : Thanks. Where are your fitting rooms?
SHOP ASSISTANT     : Just around the corner... Let me know if you need anything else.
(DOKI TRIES ON THE SHIRT)
SHOP ASSISTANT     : So how did that fit?
DOKI                      : Not too good... I think I need a smaller size.
SHOP ASSISTANT     : That's the smallest size we have in that color... Would you like me to look for another color?
DOKI                      : No, I like this color... Thanks anyway.

SHOP ASSISTANT     : Can I help you help you?
GUGUN                    : Yes, do you have a hammer?
SHOP ASSISTANT     : Is it this one?
GUGUN                    : No, I need it bigger.
SHOP ASSISTANT     : OK, let me check in the back...

SHOP ASSISTANT     : Rp 80.000,00.
GUGUN                    : Ok. I take this one.

SHOP ASSISTANT     : Sorry, we don’t have one.

Dolores            : Hello! What can I do for you, Sir?
Tim                  : Ah yes, hello.
  I’d like to ask about flights to Hong Kong from Kennedy Airport in New   York, please. I’m off to a conference at the end of the month - Thursday 22nd until Tuesday 27th. Could you tell me about the flight availability and prices?  
Dolores            : Certainly. Would you like economy, business or first class?
Tim                  : Well, I’d like economy, please. 
Dolores            : Ok. How many of you will be travelling?
Tim                  : Ah, it’s just me.
Dolores            : Okay, so that’s one seat … economy … New York - Kennedy to Hong Kong Airport.
Tim                  : And how much will that be?
Dolores            : Let me see … to qualify for the discount rate, you need to stay over a  Saturday, which you are doing … Yes, that’ll be $830.
Tim                  : Okay. Can I book that?
Dolores            : Certainly.

YESSA             : Is there a train that leaves Manchester in the afternoon on Monday?
THE AGENT    : Yes... there's a train from Manchester to London leaving daily at 4:00 PM.

Waiter        : Hello, Can I help you?
Kim             : Yes, I'd like to have some lunch.

Kim             : Yes, I'd like a bowl of chicken soup, please.

Kim             : I'd like a grilled cheese sandwich.
Waiter        : Would you like anything to drink?
Kim             : Yes, I'd like a glass of Coke, please.

Kim             : No thank you. Just the bill.

Receptionist:

Certainly. When is it for, madam?
Mrs Ryefield:

March the 23rd.
Receptionist:

How long will you be staying?
Mrs Ryefield:

Three nights.
Receptionist:

What kind of room would you like, madam?
Mrs Ryefield:

Er... double.
Receptionist:

Certainly, madam. I´ll just check what we have available... Yes, we have a room on the 4th floor.
Mrs Ryefield:

Fine. How much is the charge per night?
Receptionist:

It´s 84 euro per night
Mrs Ryefield:

That´s fine.
Receptionist:

Who´s the booking for, madam?
Mrs Ryefield:
